Esperanza Stancioff has been a University of Maine Cooperative Extension Professor for 34 years and climate change lead for UMaine Extension and ME Sea Grant, focuses on climate change adaptation research, education, and outreach in coastal communities to better understand and reduce climate-related impacts. She assists with the development and implementation of statewide and regional networks including the Climate Change Adaptation Providers (CCAP) Network, Maine Ocean and Coastal Acidification (MOCA) Partnership, Northeast Coastal Acidification Network (NECAN), Maine Climate Council Community Resilience Working Group and citizen science program, Signs of the Seasons (SOS): A New England Phenology Program.
